Organized by the International Law and Human Rights Practice and Research Center (UHAM) at Ibn Haldun University, the tenth session of the “Decent Work Series” was held online on May 1, 2025.
Titled “Fair Wage as a Fundamental Component of Decent Work,” the event addressed one of the key issues in working life — the notion of fair wage. The presentation explored the legal significance of fair wages, their application in practice, and their importance in ensuring social justice.
The panel was moderated by Prof. Dr. Yeliz Bozkurt Gümrükçüoğlu, faculty member at the Department of Labor and Social Security Law, Faculty of Law, Ibn Haldun University. The speaker, Dr. Cavit Demiral, a faculty member at the Department of Labor and Social Security Law, Faculty of Law, Kırıkkale University, delivered a comprehensive legal analysis of the place of fair wages within the framework of decent work.
