The intellectual accumulation of the "Decent Work" webinar series, conducted by the Ibn Haldun University Center for International Law and Human Rights Implementation and Research (UHAM), has been transformed into a permanent academic output and presented to readers under the title “Decent Work Series – Vol. 2.”
Bringing together the joint effort of webinars sustained for a year with interdisciplinary academic contributions, this collective work was prepared under the editorship of Prof. Dr. Yeliz Bozkurt Gümrükçüoğlu, Asst. Prof. Dr. Gülnihal Ahter Yakacak, and Res. Asst. Abdülmecit Güldağı. The 2025 publication scrutinizes the processes of digitalization and green transformation, which are the most critical dynamics of the 21st century and deeply affect working life.
In the work, the concept termed “Twin Transition” in the literature, which lies at the center of strategic documents such as the European Union’s Green Deal and the Digital Decade Policy Programme 2030, forms the main axis. The book examines the necessity for institutions to carry out both Digital Transformation (DX) and Green Transformation (GX) processes simultaneously and in a mutually supportive manner. Furthermore, it questions the contribution of digital technologies to environmental sustainability and the synergy created by these two processes.
