In the twentieth session of the "Decent Work Series" organized by Ibn Haldun University UHAM, the collective action right of workers and trade union freedoms were discussed comprehensively in light of recent Constitutional Court decisions and the "decent work" perspective.

The twentieth session of the "Decent Work Series," organized by the Ibn Haldun University Center for International Law and Human Rights Implementation and Research (UHAM), was held online on Thursday, January 15, 2026.

In the session titled "Collective Action Right of Workers within the Framework of Recent Constitutional Court Decisions," the legal limits of the right to collective action, one of the fundamental dynamics of working life, and current judicial approaches were scrutinized.

The event was moderated by Asst. Prof. Dr. Gülnihal Ahter Yakacak, Director of UHAM and Faculty Member of the Law Faculty at Ibn Haldun University, while Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dilek Dulay Yangın, Faculty Member of the Department of Labor Economics and Industrial Relations at Manisa Celal Bayar University, participated as a speaker.

During the event, the scope and types of the right to collective action, one of the democratic methods for workers to seek rights, and the criteria adopted by the Constitutional Court, the Court of Cassation, and Regional Courts of Justice in the supervision of collective actions in our country were evaluated. The precedent decisions made by the Constitutional Court on the subject in the recent period were discussed in detail. Problems encountered in practice and legal guarantees were assessed within the framework of decent work standards.

The event was broadcast live on UHAM's YouTube channel.
