Event on The Transformation of Working Life within the Framework of Climate Change, Climate Law, and Labour Law Was Held in the Decent Work Series
In the event titled “The Transformation of Working Life within the Framework of Climate Change, Climate Law, and Labour Law,” organized by Ibn Haldun University UHAM, the impacts of the climate crisis on working life, the need for new regulations, and the transforming labor law agenda from a 'decent work' perspective were comprehensively examined.

The sixteenth session of the “Decent Work Series,” organized by the Ibn Haldun University International Law and Human Rights Application and Research Center (UHAM), was held online on Thursday, July 24, 2025.

In the session titled, “The Transformation of Working Life within the Framework of Climate Change, Climate Law, and Labour Law,” the impacts of the climate crisis on working life, the need for new regulations, and the transforming labor law agenda from a 'decent work' perspective were comprehensively examined.

The event was moderated by Prof. Dr. Yeliz Bozkurt Gümrükçüoğlu, a faculty member at Ibn Haldun University Faculty of Law, while Att. Med. Alper Yılmaz participated as the speaker.

The discussion focused on the relationship between the new legal regulations brought by climate change (the Climate Law) and the existing Labour Law, the transition to green jobs in this process, how employees' rights will be protected during this transformation, and the necessary steps to ensure a just transition.
