The International Law and Human Rights Application and Research Center (UHAM) of Ibn Haldun University held the final session of the Decent Work Series under the title: "Working and Rest Hours of Seafarers: Decent Working Conditions Within the Framework of MLC and the Maritime Labor Law from an Occupational Health and Safety Perspective."
During the event, Associate Professor Dr. Esra BASKAN, a faculty member of Özyeğin University's Department of Labor and Social Security Law, evaluated the working conditions of seafarers within the framework of the Maritime Labour Convention (MLC, 2006) and the Maritime Labor Law. She also discussed the alignment of national legislation with the MLC and practical challenges encountered in its implementation. The session was moderated by Professor Dr. Yeliz Bozkurt Gümrükçüoğlu, a faculty member of Ibn Haldun University's Department of Labor and Social Security Law.
