The “Symposium on Artificial Intelligence in Employment and the Protection of Personal Data”, jointly organized by the Personal Data Protection Authority and Ibn Haldun University, will be held in a hybrid format on 3–4 December 2026. The symposium will address, through an interdisciplinary approach, current issues arising from the use of artificial intelligence-based systems in employment processes, including the protection of personal data, privacy, discrimination, transparency, and accountability.
The submission deadline is 23 October 2026 for abstracts prepared in Turkish or English. Submissions will not be accepted by e-mail and must be made through the online application form provided at the bottom of this page.

Within this framework, theoretical and applied papers in the fields of law, business administration, human resource management, organizational behavior, artificial intelligence, and related disciplines are welcome. Submitted abstracts will be subject to peer review. Accepted abstracts and full papers that successfully complete the review process will be published in the symposium abstract book and full-text proceedings.

Papers and presentations may be delivered in Turkish or English. Papers to be presented in Turkish must also include an English title, abstract, and keywords. Papers to be presented in English must likewise include a Turkish title, abstract, and keywords.

To ensure the proper conduct of the blind peer-review process, author information and the paper abstract must be prepared as separate files.
Paper abstracts will undergo scientific preliminary evaluation through a blind peer-review process, and accepted papers will be presented at the symposium. Authors whose papers are accepted will be notified by e-mail on 20 November 2026.
Each paper presentation must not exceed 15 minutes. For papers with multiple authors, the number and identity of the author or authors who will deliver the presentation must be specified. Online participation is available.
Presentations will be video recorded and may, where deemed appropriate, be published through channels approved by the Organizing Committee. Submitted papers must not have previously been presented or published elsewhere and must constitute the participants’ original work.
Members of the Symposium Organizing Committee have been officially appointed by the Rectorate of Ibn Haldun University. The symposium meets the current Associate Professorship Application Criteria. The official appointment letter and certificate of participation will be sent by e-mail upon acceptance of the paper.
Following the selection of accepted papers, the symposium programme will be communicated to participants by e-mail and will also be publicly announced.
All abstracts presented at the symposium will be published as an ISBN-registered e-book by Ibn Haldun University Press, an international publisher. Authors who submit abstracts will be deemed to have consented to such publication if their abstracts are accepted.
No royalties or publication fees will be paid to authors for the symposium abstract book or full-text proceedings.
Full papers accepted for the symposium and approved for publication must be submitted by 31 December 2026. Further information regarding the full-paper submission process will be communicated separately to authors of accepted papers.
The paper title, abstract, and keywords must be provided in both English and Turkish in the abstract submission.
Papers must include abstract sections of 500–1000 words in both Turkish and English. Authors presenting in English should provide the English abstract first, followed by the Turkish abstract.
A maximum of 5 keywords must be provided below both the Turkish and English abstracts.
The publication languages of the symposium proceedings are Turkish and English. Authors submitting papers in English will have their full papers published in English.
The Chicago Manual of Style, 16th or 17th edition must be used for citations and references.
