Within the scope of the "Decent Work Series" conducted by İbn Haldun University International Law and Human Rights Research and Application Center (UHAM), the 21st session of the event series will be held to address transformations in the global labor market and evaluate current legal issues. In this session of the series, "The Quest for Decent Work in the Platform Economy" will be discussed comprehensively.
The event will be moderated by Prof. Dr. Fatma Burcu Savaş Kutsal (Faculty Member at Bahçeşehir University, Department of Labour and Social Security Law), and will feature Asst. Prof. Dr. Hazal Tolu Yılmaz (Faculty Member at Galatasaray University, Department of Labour and Social Security Law) as the speaker. The discussion will evaluate in detail next-generation business models operated through digital platforms, the legal status of couriers and gig workers, working conditions in this sector, and the reflections of digital transformation from a "decent work" perspective.
