Ibn Haldun University’s International Law and Human Rights Application and Research Center (UHAM) continues its "Decent Work Series" with an event titled "Working and Resting Hours of Seafarers: Decent Working Conditions under MLC and the Maritime Labour Code from the Perspective of Occupational Health and Safety."
During the event, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Esra Baskan, Faculty Member of the Department of Labour and Social Security Law at Özyeğin University, will examine the rights and working conditions of workers in the maritime sector, providing insights into international conventions like the Maritime Labour Convention (MLC) and the protections offered by the Turkish Maritime Labour Code. The event will be moderated by Prof. Dr. Yeliz Bozkurt Gümrükçüoğlu, Faculty Member of the Department of Labour and Social Security Law at Ibn Haldun University.
